  • Dr. Flinn is a Biomedical Anthropologist that specializes in childhood stress, family relationships and health. His research includes a longitudinal 35-year study of child health in a rural Dominica community. This study is the first of its kind to monitor stress hormones in a naturalistic setting. Currently at Baylor University, Dr. Flinn teaches multiple courses in the Department of Anthropology.

  • Blair Coe Schweiger is pursuing her Ph.D. in Anthropology of Health at Baylor University. She has worked in public health for over 30 years. Her research interests include medical anthropology, evolutionary biology, art, health communication, family dynamics, resilience, immunizations, and cancer.

  • Teddy’s research investigates the overlap between immune and psychiatric disorders, focusing on how hormones, particularly cortisol, influence health outcomes across the lifespan. By using a life history perspective, he aims to uncover the complex interactions between biological and environmental factors that affect human health. Originally from Kansas City, Teddy earned his undergraduate degree at Yale and a master's degree from Cambridge. Since 2021, he has been a PhD student at Baylor University. In his free time, Teddy enjoys hiking, biking, and playing guitar.

  • Zahabia Kanchwala is a junior Cell and Molecular Biology major at Baylor University and has been in the lab since 2022. With a keen interest in community advocacy, medical ethics, and women's health, she aspires to attend medical school in the near future. In her downtime, she enjoys café hopping and recreational tennis in her hometown of Houston, Texas.

  • Shreyas Srinivasan is a current Senior at Baylor pursuing a degree in Psychology. His goal is to pursue an MD/PhD where he can research the Neuroendocrinological & Evolutionary Mechanisms of stressful experiences. In his free time, Shreyas loves playing the violin, watching basketball & football, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family!

  • Christy Varghese is a dedicated Research Assistant with a passion for advancing knowledge and supporting groundbreaking research projects. With a strong academic background and hands-on experience in the field of Anthropology, she brings a unique blend of analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Kiron Ang will graduate from Baylor University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a major in Bioinformatics. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, his research experience in engineering and anthropology furthers his goal of eventually conducting research to benefit people on the Texas border. In the Flinn Lab, he works on projects that allow him to exercise his skills in computation and statistics to prepare himself for any Ph.D. program that will take him. In his free time, he enjoys freestyle dancing (wacking) and reading old textbooks.
